Jake Birdwell
Jake is a Deployment Strategic at Palantir, where he works with the U.S. government. He holds a B.A. in History & Politics with First Class Distinction from University of Oxford and a M.A. in East Asia Studies from Stanford University. He previously worked at the Hoover Institution on economic statecraft research & has studied Chinese language to fluency with the U.S. State Department.

Graeme Clements
Graeme is a private equity investor and an Officer in the US Navy Reserve. He currently serves as a Director at Kingfish Group and previously worked as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley in London. Graeme received a BA in International Relations from Stanford, an MSc in African Studies from Oxford and a Master of Public Policy from Yale, where he was a Kerry Fellow.

Joyce Guo
Joyce is a Senior Research Analyst at Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER) in Taiwan, where she focuses on semiconductor research. Previously, Joyce spent three years at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Australia & Canada. She holds a B.A. in Economics & Finance from University of Melbourne & Master of Public Policy from Yale, where she was a Kerry Fellow.

Daniel Kroth
Daniel is a Senior Researcher at CARMA, where he leads the Public Security Policy program. He has held prior appointments at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the Special Competitive Studies Project, and the Wilson Center’s Science & Technology Innovation Program. He holds a master’s degree from the Fletcher School with additional study at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Margaret Maloney
Margaret is a PR specialist and current Board Member of the U.S. Fulbright Scholarship. After studying at Mount Holyoke University and Oxford University, Maloney began a career in strategic communications and went on to serve as VP of Public Relations at the leading photovoltaics firm Tygo Energy. In addition to mentoring young women, she has been deeply involved with the Fulbright Scholarship program as a Board and Executive Committee Member.

Sean Maloney
Sean is a renowned technology executive who served as Executive VP of Intel and Chairman of Intel China. After rowing for the English national team, he joined Intel and led the successful push for mobile computing at the company. Just before he was set to take over as CEO in 2010, Sean suffered a devastating stroke. However, he made a miraculous recovery and was leading Intel China within a year. He has since served on the boards of SMIC, Netronome, and other leading firms.

Ted Wittenstein
Ted is a Senior Lecturer in Global Affairs & Director of the Schmidt Program on Artificial Intelligence, Emerging Technologies, & National Power at Yale. Ted is a graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School. Prior to returning to work for Yale, he held a variety of positions at the U.S. Department of Defense, Commission on the Intelligence Capabilities of the United States Regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the Department of State.

Juan Agustín Otero | Yale University
Juan is a Master in Public Policy candidate at Yale, where he focuses on the intersection of data processing architectures and global policy. He previously served as a leading privacy advisor to Argentina’s National Data Protection Authority. Fluent in English, Spanish and French, Juan holds LLB and LLM degrees and is certified as a Fellow of Information Privacy by the IAPP.

Jason Hug | Yale University
Jason is a joint Juris Doctor and Master in Public Policy candidate at Yale Law School & Jackson School of Global Affairs. He studies the law of armed conflict, transnational security threats, and US-China relations. Prior to Yale, Jason served as a United States Army Intelligence Officer for five years. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Life Science from the United States Military Academy.

Nicole Wong | Yale University
Nicole is an MBA/MPP joint degree candidate at Yale School of Management & Jackson School of Global Affairs. Nicole focuses on the development of regenerative economies through tech policy. Prior to Yale, Nicole was a Junior Teaching Fellow at Chinese University of Hong Kong & Executive at Checkpoint Theatre. She has a BA in International Relations from Stanford University.

Eliza Sandell | Stanford University
Eliza a senior at Stanford University studying History and Economics, focusing on modern economic history. She works at Hoover Institute on emerging markets finance and infrastructure development within the Emerging Markets Working Group. In particular, she is interested in the material basis of the world -- from both a security and sustainable development perspective.

Toby Drinkall | Oxford University
Toby is a Master of Science candidate at Oxford focussing on computational social sciences and technology policy. He is interested in how technology affects our social fabric and in advancing ethical frameworks that support international security. Toby’s research includes U.S. national security implications of AI with an Oxford-Stanford Research Group and he has experience in public affairs. He holds a BA in Theology and Religion with First Class Distinction from Oxford.

Ethan is a sophomore at Yale majoring in Ethics, Politics, and Economics alongside a Pre-Med track. He has previously worked as a Research Assistant at Yale Law School analyzing AI and climate, collaborated with Google to publish a variety of articles, and researched autism and endocannabinoids in a project recognized by Regeneron and New York State government officials.

Zoey is a junior at Yale University majoring in Global Affairs, Global Health, Statistics & Data Science. Zoey is curious about the intersection between health economics and international development. She has conducted research in a variety of fields with state governmental agencies, NIDA, Yale School of Medicine, and Johns Hopkins.

Chi Nguyen | Yale University
Chi is a sophomore at Yale majoring in Global Affairs & Economics. Her interests revolve around international relations, poverty reduction, and history. In 2023, Chi published a research paper on the practice of historical negationism in the Vietnamese education system. She was on Vietnam’s national debate team in 2021 and is currently a varsity member of the Yale Debate Association.

Yana is a senior at Yale majoring in Global Affairs with an advanced language certificate in French. In her studies, she focuses on human rights, international organizations, and peacebuilding. She has conducted research on sustainable conflict resolution in Nepal, Jordan & Chile and worked with the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect to monitor and respond to atrocity situations.

After graduation she hopes to attend law school to study international law, comparative law & technology law. Callie interned with the Milwaukee Bucks technology team this past summer. When she's not studying or working on campus, Callie enjoys being on the pitch with the Yale Women's Rugby team.

Addie is a junior at Yale majoring in English & East Asian Studies, having completed a certificate in Mandarin Chinese in spring 2024. For the past year, she has been researching semiconductor competition, specifically the efficacy of China’s attempts to become self-reliant. She hopes to apply her Chinese language skills to a career in U.S.-China foreign policy.

Alexandre Acra | Stanford University
Alexandre is a junior at Stanford pursuing a BS in Mathematics and MS in Computer Science. He’s particularly interested in work at the frontiers of synthetic data generation and model design, and how it can be used in contexts with classified data, like national security. He has prior work experience at Palantir, in venture capital, and in the startup world.

Louis is a junior at Stanford University majoring in Physics, with a focus on Quantum Science & Information. He is currently an intern at Palantir Technologies and has a keen interest in the intersection of defense technology and national security. He has previously worked in a variety of domains, including Private Equity and performing Particle Physics research at CERN.

Daniel is senior at Stanford pursuing a dual degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies with minors in Mathematics and Computer Science. He is excited about computational social sciences and data enabled tooling, and is the co- president of Stanford’s VC club.

Dorottya Zsiboracs | Oxford University
Dorottya Zsiborács is an MSc student at the Oxford Internet Institute. Her thesis explores the military applications of AI, specifically Human-Machine Teaming. She works as a Programme Analyst at Helsing, a leading European defense AI company that develops software to protect our democracies. She graduated with first-class honours in International Relations from the Department of War Studies at King’s College London.

Francesca Davy-Falconi | Oxford University
Francesca is an MSc student in Oxford Internet Institute's Social Science of the Internet program. She is a researcher with interdisciplinary interests focused on the intensifying lack of constructive discourse in online spaces.Francesca holds a degree in Philosophy and Neuroscience from Boston University, and has previously worked in two neuroimaging labs, as well as with the Berkman Klein Center.
